Things to see near the Teatro Olimpico
Ponte della musica (or Armando Trovajoli bridge)
Ponte della Musica, famous for its modern design and its light architectural appearance, connects the Flaminio district to Foro Italico and is designed for pedestrians and cyclists. On weekdays it is almost deserted, but on public holidays it becomes a place to stroll and relax and it is not uncommon to even see a few skateboarders.
MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts
Just a few steps away from the Teatro Olimpico you will find the MAXXI, a modern and eccentric structure designed by Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, which houses the National Museum of 21st Century Arts. The first national museum dedicated to contemporary arts and architecture, it hosts design and photography exhibitions, film festivals, and dance and theater performances.
La Piccola Londra (Little London)
A little gem that few people know about in Rome. Via Bernardo Celentano, a small street that connects Via Flaminia 287 to Via Vignola 50, will make you feel like you are in London. From the houses with colorful facades, to the wrought-iron lampposts, it is all in quintessential British style.
